Eighty years ago my grandfather Sheikh Mostafa Bin Abdullatif had a dream! This dream was to become independent, successful, and create a business that would ensure the prosperity of his family. This was to be realized by establishing a successful business based on offering the residents of the country the best value with an added sense of responsibility, and fair play. Sheikh Mostafa Bin Abdullatif was a pious, family oriented man, who prioritized unity of his family above all. He believed that only by leaving an unflinching, and successful legacy for his children, their children, and so on, would he succeed in his aim. Sheikh Mostafa Bin Abdullatif embarked on his vision, his dream in a very modest way in the early part of the Twentieth Century by establishing his business ventures in both Dubai, and Bahrain. The core activities of the early business revolved around the precious gems trade, namely pearls. This was further enhanced to include commodities such as rice, wheat, etc., and general trading. Real estate development was added to the portfolio in the early sixties, and we have not looked back since then. We are very proud of our heritage. We do not engage in any business that can be deemed purely speculative, or contravening our religious beliefs.
